The goals of California’s environmental laws cannot be achieved without compliance. To achieve compliance, CalEPA uses many tools including education, inspection and enforcement. New  2017 Environmental Enforcement and Training Grant Opportunity – Application Period Extended
CalEPA is now accepting applications for the 2017 Environmental Enforcement and Training Account Grant Program.  The application period has been extended to September 15, 2017.  Click here for additional information and to download the 2017 application.

DTSC Confiscates 118 Toxic Jewelry Items
The Department of Toxic Substances Control is pursuing enforcement actions against 11 retailers and suppliers for selling jewelry for children and adults that contained dangerously high amounts of lead and cadmium.  Click here for information about the specific jewelry items, and here for DTSC’s press release.
