Please note that this is a remote meeting only. It will NOT take place in a room at the CalEPA Headquarters Building.

The Council is comprised of the state secretaries or directors of the following agencies: California Environmental Protection Agency (CalEPA); California Health and Human Services Agency (CHHS); California Natural Resources Agency (CNRA); California State Transportation Agency (CalSTA); California Department of Food and Agriculture (CDFA); California Governor’s Office of Emergency Services (CalOES); Business, Consumer Services and Housing Agency (BCSH); California Governor’s Office of Business and Economic Development (GO-Biz); and the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, which serves as an ex-officio member.

Public Participation:

 

In accordance with the Bagley-Keene Open Meeting Act, all meetings of the Council are open to the public. The Council plans to provide a teleconference location only for this meeting. Discussion and action may be taken on any item on the Council’s meeting agenda. The time and order of agenda items are approximate and subject to change at the discretion of the Chair or their designee to facilitate the effective transaction of business.

 

Government Code section 11125.7 provides the opportunity for the public to address each agenda item during discussion or consideration by the Council or prior to the Council taking any action on said item. The Council will provide members of the public with an opportunity to make public comments during the meeting on any issues before the Council, but the Chair or their designee, at their discretion, may apportion available time among those who wish to make public comment during the meeting. Individuals may also make public comment to the Council regarding items not on the agenda; however, the Council cannot discuss or take official action on these items during the same meeting. (Gov. Code, §§ 11125, 11125.7, subd. (a).)

 

Members of the public may provide comments by using the “Raise your Hand” feature if joining from a PC, Mac, iPad, iPhone, or Android device. If calling-in by phone, members of the public may use *9 to raise or lower your hand and may dial *6 to mute or unmute once they are called on and permitted to speak. A moderator will call on you to share your comment. Please keep comments to two minutes or less.

 

Spanish and English simultaneous interpretation will be available to all attendees who join the meeting through the computer/mobile application, or through the web client. Interpretation will be unavailable if joining by phone, only. The webcast link will have options to watch in English and Spanish.

 

Members of the public may but are not obligated to provide their names or personal information as a condition of observing or participating in the meeting. When signing into the Zoom platform, participants may be asked for their name and email address. Participants who choose not to provide their names will be required to provide a unique identifier such as their initials or another alternative, so that the meeting moderator can identify individuals who wish to make public comment; participants who choose not to provide their email address may utilize a fictitious email address in the following sample format: xxxxx@mailinator.com.
