Welcome to CalEPA's Earth Day Hub

Save.

Amplify.

Inspired by events that originated in California, Earth Day has become a global movement that occurs every year on April 22nd. Earth Day continues to stand as reminder to organizations, communities and people of the importance of environmental protection from pollution.

The California Environmental Protection Agency (CalEPA) is continuing the legacy by turning Earth Day into Earth Month. Throughout the month and leading up to April 22nd, CalEPA hopes to inspire Californians to:

  • Act now by cleaning local spaces, planting trees or preserving spaces for your community to thrive.
  • Amplify change by sharing individual or community experiences and stories on a global scale using the #EarthDay on social media.
  • Save our planet by taking small steps to conserve resources, reduce waste and protect our environment. Just as the actions we take are important, the things we don’t do are equally important.

Act todayAmplify your stories to inspire hopeSave reusables to reduce waste for a better tomorrow. Pollution not only affects air, land and water but also directly impacts public health. Everyone across the Golden State deserves a healthy and thriving environment free from pollution.
