Brandy Hunt, Deputy Secretary for Fiscal Policy and Administration

Brandy Hunt currently serves as the Deputy Secretary for Fiscal Policy and Administration at the California Environmental Protection Agency (CalEPA). In this capacity, she acts as the principal advisor to both the Under Secretary and Secretary for Environmental Protection on all administrative and fiscal matters related to the Agency, its boards, departments, and offices.

With over 20 years of leadership experience in finance and administration, Brandy has worked across military, state, and local government sectors. She previously held the position of Deputy Director for Administration, Finance, and Information Technology at the Department of Resources Recycling and Recovery (CalRecycle), where she served for three years. Brandy has also contributed to various administrative roles at the California Air Resources Board, supervised business services at Yolo County’s Department of Child Support Services, and held leadership positions in personnel services during her time in the U.S. Navy.

As Deputy Secretary, Brandy oversees fiscal and administrative functions for several key entities, including the Office of the Secretary, the California Air Resources Board, the State Water Resources Control Board, the Office of Environmental Health Hazard Assessment, the Department of Toxic Substances Control, the Department of Pesticide Regulation, and the Department of Resources Recycling and Recovery.

Brandy holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and Finance from California State University, Sacramento.
