NOTICE is hereby given that the California-Mexico Border Relations Council (Council) will be holding a meeting consistent with the following information:

The Council is comprised of the state secretaries or directors of the following agencies: California Environmental Protection Agency (CalEPA); California Health and Human Services Agency (CHHS); California Natural Resources Agency (CNRA); California State Transportation Agency (CalSTA); California Department of Food and Agriculture (CDFA); California Governor’s Office of Emergency Services (CalOES); Business, Consumer Services and Housing Agency (BCSH); California Governor’s Office of Business and Economic Development (GO-Biz); and The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, which serves as an ex-officio member.

Instructions for Public Participation: 

In accordance with the Bagley-Keene Open Meeting Act, all meetings of the Council are open to the public. This meeting is available remotely and in-person. To join remotely, click the Zoom link. To observe the meeting, click the webinar link 

Discussion and action may be taken on any item on the Council’s meeting agenda. The time and order of agenda items are approximate and subject to change at the discretion of the Chair or their designee to facilitate the effective transaction of business.  

Government Code section 11125.7 provides the opportunity for the public to address each agenda item during discussion or consideration by the Council or prior to the Council taking any action on said item. The Council will provide members of the public with an opportunity to make public comments during the meeting on any issues before the Council, but the Chair or their designee, at their discretion, may apportion available time among those who wish to make public comment during the meeting. Individuals may also make public comment to the Council regarding items not on the agenda; however, the Council cannot discuss or take official action on these items during the same meeting. (Gov. Code, §§ 11125, 11125.7, subd. (a).) 

The public may submit public comments in two ways: (1) to participate in-person, approach the podium when called for public comment, or (2) to participate by Zoom, use the “Raise your Hand” feature until called on by the moderator. 

Accessibility at CalEPA: 

Meetings of the Council are open to the public. Public meetings are held in barrier free facilities that are accessible to those with physical disabilities in accordance with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA). If you are a person with a disability requiring disability-related modifications or accommodations to participate in the meeting, including auxiliary aids or services, or if you require documents be made available in an alternate format or another language or require an interpreter at the meeting, please contact Border Affairs at (916) 324-8741, via e-mail at BorderAffairs@calepa.ca.gov, or by letter to 1001 I Street, P.O.
