Lithium-ion Car Battery Recycling Advisory Group

To All Interested Community Members and Stakeholders:

The California Environmental Protection Agency will hold the second meeting of the Lithium-ion Car Battery Recycling Advisory Group (Advisory Group) on Monday, January 27, 2020. The Advisory Group was created to advise the Legislature on policies pertaining to the recovery and recycling of lithium-ion vehicle batteries sold with motor vehicles in the state. It was formed in 2019 pursuant to Assembly Bill 2832 (Dahle, 2018).

This meeting offers the opportunity for the public to become familiar with the materials used in motor vehicle lithium-ion batteries, as well as reuse and recycling efforts for those batteries.

Stakeholders and members of the public may attend the meeting in-person or observe remotely via live webcast. The meeting will also be recorded and posted on the Lithium-ion Car Battery Recycling Advisory Group webpage. The meeting will be held at the following time and location:

The Visitor and Environmental Services Center is located just inside and to the left of the public entrance. Valid picture identification may be required due to security requirements. Please allow up to 15 minutes for receiving clearance, and then proceed to the room.
