LISA F. BROWN APPOINTED CAL/EPA ENFORCEMENT COUNSEL
SACRAMENTO - California Environmental Protection Agency Secretary Winston Hickox today announced the appointment of Lisa F. Brown as assistant general counsel for enforcement at Cal/EPA.
Since December 1998, Brown had served as acting deputy secretary for enforcement and legal counsel at Cal/EPA, after serving one year as staff counsel at the California Air Resources Board, specializing in enforcement activities. Prior to that, Brown was a San Joaquin County deputy district attorney for 11 years, specializing in the prosecution of environmental law violations. She also served four years as staff counsel at the California Department of Food and Agriculture.
In her new post, Brown will be responsible for planning, organizing, coordinating, and improving Cal/EPA enforcement efforts to provide consistent and predictable enforcement across all environmental programs.
Brown received her law degree from the University of the Pacific, McGeorge School of Law, after graduating from the University of Santa Clara.
