Rulemaking History

The proposed regulations will implement the Environmental Justice Small Grants Program Act (Stats. 2002, Ch. 994) which establishes the Cal/EPA Environmental Justice Small Grants Program within the Office of the Secretary. The proposed regulations describe the program procedures for applying for the grant, the criteria to be used in determining which applications will be funded, and the administrative and fiscal requirements governing the receipt and expenditure of grant funds in accordance with the Act.

The California Environmental Protection Agency has considered all comments, objections, and recommendations regarding the proposed regulatory action during the public comment period and proposes to adopt a revised text of the proposed regulations as described below which incorporates changes suggested by the commenters. An additional 15-day written comment period on the modified text of the regulations will begin on October 9, 2003, and end on October 24, 2003.
