Seeking Curriculum Reviewers 

Boy holding a globeThe California Education and the Environment Initiative (EEI) is seeking reviewers -- specifically history and social science experts with doctorates or master’s degrees. Get paid $300 per unit to review the accuracy of landmark new K-12 environment -based curriculum for the State of California. We expect to produce more than 100 California EEI Curriculum units. Full credit to all reviewers is included in each unit.

  • U.S. Agricultural Development
  • U.S. Foreign Policy
  • U.S. History
  • U.S. Industrialization
  • World Geography

The California Education and the Environment Initiative (EEI) Curriculum is fully embraced by:

  • Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger
  • State Superintendent of Public Instruction Jack O’Connell
  • California’s educational and environmental agencies

Quick facts about the California EEI Curriculum:

  1. The California EEI Curriculum is a model for the nation.
  2. The materials are written by professional curriculum writers.
  3. EEI units will help six million California students in grades K-12 learn about the interrelationships between the natural environment and human social systems.
  4. EEI lessons help teach to mastery selected academic standards in science and history-social science, and strengthen English-language arts skills.
  5. Each unit is designed to make learning about the environment and the world around us engaging, relevant, and fun.
  6. The curriculum will be provided free of charge to all California school districts.
  7. Partners like the National Geographic Society are contributing to the rich, diverse, and visually stunning design of the EEI materials.
