Climate Action Team Public Meeting (June 23, 2010)
This is the second public meeting of the Climate Action Team
(CAT) for 2010. The CAT has been holding these meetings each
quarter to receive updates on climate program activities at the
state and regional level, and to provide a forum for discussion
of climate related issues. The agenda will focus on the Near
Term Implementation Plans that were developed by the CAT working
groups describing their mitigation, adaptation and research
activities. In particular, we will have presentation on select
Plans from the Biodiversity, Energy, Coastal, Land Use and Water
working groups. We will also have an update on the Plans
developed by our State Operations working group, which will
include a request for approval of several action items. The full
listing of the implementation plans will be posted on the CAT
website for each sector.

CEQA Training Guidelines (April 8, 2010)
The Natural Resources Agency recently adopted Amendments to the
CEQA Guidelines for greenhouse gas emissions. Those Amendments
were developed to provide guidance to public agencies regarding
the analysis and mitigation of greenhouse gas emissions.

Climate Action Team Public Meeting (March 11, 2010)
This is the first public meeting of the Climate Action Team
(CAT) for 2010. The CAT has been holding these meetings each
quarter to receive updates on climate program activities at the
state and regional level, and to provide a forum for discussion
of climate related issues. At the March meeting there were
updates from the Air Resources Board and the CAT sector working
group on Public Health. There was also a presentation and
discussion about GHG mitigation measures and climate change
adaptation strategies that state agencies will be working on in
the coming year.

integration of mitigation and adaptation efforts.

Climate Action Team Public Meeting (March 11, 2009)
The Climate Action Team held its first public meeting of 2009.
The purpose of the meeting was to receive updates on climate
program activities at the state and regional level, and to
discuss the newly released CAT Report for 2008. This is the
first of regular quarterly meetings to track progress on climate
change programs and GHG reduction measures being implemented
under AB32, the Global Warming Solutions Act of 2006.

Public Workshop on Updated Macroeconomic Analysis of March 2006
Climate Action Team Report Strategies (September 14, 2007)
The Economics Subgroup of the Climate Action Team held a
workshop to present an update to the macroeconomic analysis of
the climate strategies in the March 2006 Climate Action Team
Report. The workshop focused on updated methods for
characterizing climate strategies to support macroeconomic
analyses and the comparison of results using two macroeconomic
models.

that are being implemented by members of the Climate Action
Team.

Market Advisory Committee Public Meeting (June 12, 2007)
The Market Advisory Committee (Committee) held its final
public meeting on June 12, 2007. The Committee discussed its
draft recommendations to be presented to the Air Resources Board
on the design of a greenhouse gas cap and trade system for
California. The Committee solicited public comments about their
draft recommendations.

Climate Action Team Public Meeting (March 12, 2007)
The Climate Action Team held its first public meeting of 2007.
Early actions on greenhouse gas mitigation measures and progress
toward strategies outlined in the 2006 Climate Action Team
report were discussed. Eight new subgroups of the Climate Action
Team were introduced and a roadmap for future activities was
presented.

Market Advisory Committee Public Meeting (February 27, 2007)
The Market Advisory Committee held its initial
public meeting on February 27, 2007. The Committee discussed design
ideas for a market-based system consistent with the requirements
of the California Global Warming Solutions Act of 2006. The
Committee also provided background information on other
market-based emissions trading schemes.

Awareness Month
October is Energy Awareness Month in many parts of the world. Here
at Cal/EPA we are always looking for new and inventive ways to
conserve energy. Then-Secretary Winston Hickox created the
Environmental Management System (EMS) for Agency Operations at the
headquarters building. This video takes a close look at how EMS is
working in our new work environment

Cal/EPA Headquarters Technology Collaboration
This video, produced by the Integrated Waste Management Board,
shows the collaborative information technology efforts undertaken by
the Board and other departments under Cal/EPA since moving into the
headquarters building in 2000. The video was developed for Cal/EPA's
booth in the Government Solutions Center at the 2002 Government
Technology Conference.
